Coolest App Ever!

So I have been introduced to a lot of sites and apps recently that allow students and teacher to do some pretty awesome things, but this is BY FAR the coolest!
This week I explored the colar mix site and app and had TONS of fun playing around with it with  my students. Here is how it works:

Print out the pages that you would like to color from colar mix. There are tons of free ones to download.

Color in the pictures to your heart's content. My students used colored pencils and crayons. The site suggests not using dark markers.

Open up the app on your ipad and hover your ipad over the picture until the picture turns blue. Before you know it, your creation will come to life with movement and sounds. SO COOL!

On the last day of school, my students and I had a ball coloring in the different pictures. The only drawback is that only a few of the pictures can be animated for free. You have to purchase additional packages if you want certain pictures to be animated. My students and I had so much fun though, that I think it is worth the small investment!

Here are some of my students' creations:

Here is a video from the site showing how to use the app:

Have you tried out this app? How would you use this in your classroom?
